About Jody
- Jody has been working with clients who deal with anxiety and trauma for over 15 years.
She uses empirically-based treatment methods that have been found to be effective in helping
clients heal from chronic anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive and compulsive behaviors,
traumatic memories and insomnia. She has completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR (Level 2), Cognitive Processing Therapy (trauma),
Prolonged Exposure Treatment (trauma), CBT for Insomnia, and Hypnosis (Yapko 100-hour training).
Jody is originally from New Jersey, moving to Germany in 2011 to work with Army Soldiers and then to North Carolina in 2013 to work with Army Special Operations on Fort Bragg.
Jody has a Master's in Applied Psychology from Steven's Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. From 1986 to 1997 she worked on a corporate staff and later as a consultant to businesses and individuals. After working with her own career coach, Jody decided to leave her successful career to enter Wheaton College Graduate School where she earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2001. More than sixteen years later, she is still happy with her choice!
